Wordless (ish) Wednesday- February Freak-Out

My professor was right- for us graduating seniors it is the time for the "February Freak-out" as he calls it. I am SWAMPED with assignments, my internship, filling out countless applications, and getting things ready for graduation! I'm extremely excited but I am freaking out a little bit. I got so behind on English that I am playing catch up while I have tons of other things on my to-do list (as shown in picture #1). Graduation is getting closer tho!!! Another source of my freak out is grad school. I don't know what to expect, how I'm gonna make my schedule work, and I'm just all around nervous. But I know it will be great, and I can't wait to get started. Happy February Freak-Out everyone!!! LOL

FINAL semester- YAYYYY for graduation!

Well, it sure has been a long time- and there is so much going on!

This semester, thankfully, is going to much easier... I think. I only have 2 classes and a 120 hour internship (well, 3 classes if you include my english class that I've been doing for a year.. oops :P). I am so excited because I got my internship with CASA- Court Appointed Special Advocates. They work with children in foster care and do their best to look out for their best interest and get them into a permanent placement as quickly and safely as possible. I am beyond thrilled to be working with such an amazing organization, and I can't wait for all the experience I will get there!

Unfortunately, I have my least favorite professor this semester. again. Thankfully, I also have my favorite professor- even though his class time is NOT my favorite. at all. (7:30-10:30 AM on MONDAY!). Needless to say, I hate Mondays with an undying passion.

I am volunteering at my church's coffee shop- Common Grounds- again this semester on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, and I'm meeting with my WONDERFUL community group on Tuesday nights again. Although I am so busy I always look foreword to those times with my wonderful christian friends. They're so uplifting, and they always make any bad day much better.

Also, I am back on track with weight loss! It is hard to come by enough energy to exercise, but I try to stay in workout clothes so I can take advantage of the energy when I am lucky enough to have it. I started the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program and I am down 6 pounds since January 1st! I can't wait to be back in shape and ready for bikini season (which, for me will be at the end of the summer after I recover from surgery).

Unfortunately, these first couple of weeks of this semester are the more difficult ones. I have a lot of catching up to do with English, and I am taking the GRE this Thursday (PRAYERS PLEASE!). It is so hard not to stress out and worry, especially since so much depends on me doing well on this test. But, I know if I do my best God will do the rest, and I am taken care of.

As great as this semester seems I know that, while it may be easier than last semester, it is far from easy. There is still a lot of work to be done! Wish me luck while I tackle it all. Thankfully the bulk of it will be over in March.

My Bucket List part two

Here's the rest of my bucket list:
7. Take a long road trip through the U.S.- This kind of goes along with number 6. For years I have dreamed about taking a long road trip across the country to California making lots of stops on the way to see all kinds of amazing things!!
8. Parasail- (and sailing in general) It seems so peaceful to just sail along the water in the sunshine and just soaking it all in. Parasailing seems so invigorating: just floating above the water and looking around at the beauty of it.
9. Jet ski- a lot of my things on this list have to do with water because I love going to the beach and how relaxing the water is. Jet skiing, while it is probably not relaxing, looks like so much fun!
10. Diving- I've been snorkeling in the Caribbean and it was amazing and beautiful but I would really like to go diving deep in the ocean and sea all of the beautiful fish and other things that you cant see from the surface. I don't know how deep I would want to go though but I can't wait to try.
11. Climb a mountain (not just a rock wall)- I have always loved rock wall climbing but I would really like to try an actual mountain. It seems kind of scary because of the height but I think it would be really amazing to be able to say that I actually did it.
12. Find a hobby I really have a passion for- my mom is really amazing with scrapbooking and photography and I wish I had a passion like that that I could do and really enjoy. I am really just not sure how to find it. If you have any suggestions let me know!

Have you made a bucket list? Let's hear it!

My Bucket List part one

Sometimes I wish I was a little more adventurous... I'm not very active but I would like to be. So, one day I made a "bucket list" of things that I have never done and am not very likely to do, but I would really like to try them.
1. Learn to surf- It looks like so much fun and so freeing. I have always loved the water as it is and I think that learning to surf would be an amazing experience.
2. Skydive- This is kind of crazy. I am pretty afraid of heights but I think that skydiving one time would be such a rush and a really unique and exhilarating experience.
3. Hike and Camp outdoors- I am a pretty girly person. I hate bugs and not being able to shower. I love makeup and all that other girly stuff. But, I think it would be nice to step out of my comfort zone at least once and go camping outside- not in a cabin- and go for a nice hike in a really beautiful place. Every time I've tried to hike I whined and complained and gave up. I would really like to be able to do it without being like that at least once.
4. White water raft- this looks like so much fun! I don't even know what else to say except that it looks awesome and I really wanna try it one day.
5. Travel all over the world- i am DYING to go all over Europe, Greece, Brazil, Australia, exotic places like Thailand and Egypt (when it's safe again) and just everywhere!! I just love learning about new places and seeing things I've only read about
6. See more of this beautiful country- I've been lucky enough to see a lot of this country already. I have never been to California, Miami, Hawaii, and most of the north of the country. My boyfriend and I are planning to go on a road trip next summer as my graduation present from him, and hopefully I can see a lot of the things I'm dying to see that I never have.

Stay tuned for Part 2!!
